Grapefruit

South Africa and China are leading exporters of high-quality grapefruit. In 2024/25, South Africa's grapefruit exports are expected to reach 215,000 metric tons, supported by improved production, with key markets including the Netherlands, China, Russia, and Japan. The country's agricultural exports hit a record $13.7 billion in 2024, with citrus playing a major role. Meanwhile, China's grapefruit and pomelo production is forecasted at 5.25 million metric tons, driven by demand for softer, juicier varieties. Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Indonesia, and Thailand are major buyers. Weberic Exclusif Fruit imports premium grapefruit from both countries into Southeast Asia.
